Some of the services we provide are …. Scheduled Maintenance The services we offer are based on mileage intervals as set forth below. Some items may not apply to your vehicle. In every case, our servicing exceeds the maintenance schedule set forth by the service manual and includes many important items which though not specified in by the manufacturer, should be done to ensure long term reliability. Our goal is to keep your vehicle as trouble free as possible.Group A Replace the following items: Engine oil, Engine oil filter & Engine oil drain plug washer.Inspect the following items: Cooling system components/hoses/connections – check for leakage, deterioration, damage, proper operation; suspension components – check for damage, looseness, deterioration; driveshaft boots/bands – check for damage, deterioration, leakage; steering components. Check for looseness, deterioration, damage, leakage; wheel bearings – check for excessive play; exhaust system – check for damage, leakage, deterioration; fuel hoses/lines/connections – check for leakage, damage, deterioration, looseness; brake hoses/lines/master cylinder/proportioning valve/ABS components – check for leakage, deterioration, damage; engine/transmission, mounts – check for damage or deterioration; gaskets/seals – check for leakage; tires – check condition. Inspect and adjust the following items: Tire pressure, fluid levels (Except manual transmission and differentials). Group B Remove debris from vent inletGroup C Inspect the following items; Air cleaner element – check condition; brake pads / rotors / calipers / wheel cylinders / shoes / springs / drums, adjusting and parking brake mechanisms – check for wear, damage, leakage, proper operation.Inspect and adjust the following items; Rear brakes (drum type), parking brake mechanism, clutch release arm travel *. Rotate Tires. *Where equipped Group D Replace the following items: Main fuel filter (carburetor models), distributor rotor (Carbureted vehicles and 1985-1987 Prelude Si, Civic Si, and CRX Si models, 1985-1989 Accord SEI and LXI models).Inspect the following items; All lights – check for proper operation. Lubricate locks, latches, and hinges if required. Group E Replace the following items: Automatic transmission fluid*, VTM – 4 differential fluid *Inspect and adjust the following items: Valve lash (Except V6 engines and models with all roller style rocker arms). *Where equipped |
Group F Replace the following items: Differential fluid * (all types), Brake fluid, Coolant (Coolant on 2002 and later models is a long – life type and is replaced every 60,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first). Bleed brake system, replace brake fluid, clean master cylinder reservoir screen. *Where equippedGroup G Replace the following items: Air cleaner element, fuel strainer (Except in-tank fuel strainers.),7 / filters (main and auxiliary on carburetor models), Distributor rotor * , spark plugs (Except Platinum spark plugs).Manual transmission fluid/oil * , automatic transmission fluid, air conditioning air filters *(Replace air conditioning air filters every 15,000 miles if operating in air with a high concentration of dust or diesel powered vehicles or any time air flow is less than usual). Inspect the following items: Air conditioning – check operation* , emissions control systems – check operation, exhaust emissions – measure, idle speed – check drive belt condition (Fuel injected vehicles only). Inspect and adjust the following items: Ignition timing and controls, idle speed (Carbureted vehicles only), drive belt tension ( if required), and Valve lash (Valve lash adjustment is not required on Legend, RL, 1996-1998 TL and Accord V6. Valve lash adjustment is not required on late models Honda and Acuras until 105,000 miles). * Where equipped  Timing Belt Our timing belt service is an exceptional value. Items included and inspected with this service are intended to ensure a trouble free operation until the next scheduled timing belt replacement. If your timing belt breaks, serious and costly engine damage can occur, so it is crucial to perform this service before the belt breaks. Our timing belt service includes the following items.The following parts are replaced: Timing belt; balance belt*; water pump and gasket(s); crankshaft seal, cam seal, balance shaft seal*; balance shaft oring; drive belts (alternator, air conditioning*, power steering *); water pump and coolant. The following parts are inspected: Timing belt tensioner, balance shaft belt tensioner, oil pump, balance shaft gear case*, automatic tension adjuster* timing covers and gaskets. Coolant will need to be added as some is lost during water pump replacement. A valve cover gasket may need replacement on some models where removal of the valve cover is required during timing belt service. On vehicles with balance shaft oil seal, a retainer is installed if not already present. This is a Honda product update designed to prevent this seal form backing out. *Where equipped After Hours Service If you would like to drop a vehicle off before or after our regular business hours simply park your vehicle in our parking lot, fill out after hour’s envelope, lock your vehicle and insert completed envelope with your keys inside through the mail slot in door. We will call you with an estimate before proceeding with any repairs.Shuttle Service & Car Rentals Foothill Foreign Automotive provides shuttle service within five miles of our location as a courtesy to our customers. Shuttle service may be limited to certain times. Make sure to mention when you make your appointment that you will be requiring this service. If you need a rental car Enterprise provides reasonable rates and can usually pick you up in a few minutes. We are conveniently located near Metro Link Train Stations.
